Shine bright like a Diamond!

Think about diamonds. They are already worth so much and love is awaiting them to be cherished and honored. They are waiting to be bought and to truly belong to someone.
There is a process in making diamonds for them to be bought. They have to be dug out from beneath the ground and then polished up, shaped and cut. Then they are weighed and valued on display and paid for.
The value of each diamond varies. Different diamonds have different worth but they are each unique and have value.
Most natural diamonds are formed at high temperature and pressure.
The word is from the ancient Greek ἀδάμας – adámas "unbreakable".
Diamonds are precious gems.
The immense hardness of a Diamond contributes to its suitability and importance as a gemstone. Because of its hardness, a Diamond is immune to scratching, as the only thing that can scratch it is another Diamond. This resistance lends it the ability to withstand daily wear and tear beyond the capabilities of most gemstones. Diamonds are also difficult to polish due to their hardness - they can only be polished with special Diamond saws that have a thin layer of Diamond on the saw blades and edges.
Think about us. We are just like these diamonds. We are God's precious gems, rare-cut diamonds.

God's
Extraordinary
Masterpiece

We are difficult to polish as well and the only person who can clean us up is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Jesus has already paid the price for us. He bought us with His blood.
Jesus paid the ultimate price.
Jesus thought we were to die for!

We are #GIFTED:
Ephesians 4:7
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
We are #CHOSEN:
1 Peter 2:9
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
We are #VALUED:
Luke 12:7
7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
We are #LOVED:
Zephaniah 3:17
17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
Jesus finds us from beneath the ground and transforms us. He polishes us up. He shapes us and molds us into His precious gems-diamonds-into the person we are called to be.
Usually, at the greatest point of pressure in our life is when we are formed into something great, just like the diamond!
So, next time you feel the heat on you and feel the pressure coming down,
 just remember the diamond!

Back to the path

Almost two months ago, after my last relapse, I was enlightened by a two year old.  I walked outside on the porch with him following behind me.  I stayed on the porch but he moved along.  In the blink of an eye, he was all the way across the driveway.  Within seconds he got away from me.  He walked all the way over the walkway and across the gravel driveway.  When I noticed where he was at I called him to come back.  Now, mind you, he got where he was at on his own, by himself, with no trouble, however, when he started to come back, he couldn’t and started crying.
When he seen me walking towards him, calling him, he started walking and met me halfway.
I do not have any children of my own, but I imagine a parent’s worst nightmare would be for their child to be lost.
The feeling and the panic in your heart when you look up and do not see your child is horrifying I would say because I experienced something slightly similar with this two year old whom I babysit when I looked up and didn’t see him in sight.  As I mentioned, this happened a couple months ago after my last relapse.
God showed me something through this.
I had wandered off from Him and when I realized I was in a place far from Him I could not get back on my own.
I had to cry out to Him.
Sometimes we get out of sight.
Sometimes we wander off across to the other side.  We leave Him.  We wander off on our own.  When we find ourselves so far away it’s hard for us to come back to Him.  We can’t make it on our own.  God calls us home, just as I called Samuel when I could not see him.  When we cry out for Him, He hears us.  If we are willing to follow His voice, He will meet us halfway and lead us home.  He will take us by the hand and walk with us.

He leads us back to path safely where there will be stepping stones rather than stumbling blocks.  There may be stairs to climb along the way, but He is right there with us, encouraging us and guiding us through every step of the way.

Where are you at today?  Is God calling you?  Do you need help getting back to the path?  Respond to Him and cry out.  Do you need help climbing the stairs?  Take his hand.  Walk hand in hand with Him today!
